Our house

I can't help but fall more in love with this place the longer I'm here. Of course, it could be the company....

Weight loss

If anyone has suggestions for exercise or weight loss, I'd be more than happy to hear them! Or else I'm going to walk around looking like this a lot.

Lots of Randomness

Being poor really sucks. You carry that fiscal worry with you even when you do get some money, and you keep asking yourself "But is buying this worth it?" even when it's something important, like food. I just hope that I can get more hours in my job soon. Also, in terms of things like entertainment and fun. Most of the stuff I want to get ends up being ungotten, due to my lack of monetary funds. I don't really mind that much, but I get judged sometimes for it.

But luckily, there are always free alternatives in today's modern-technology world!

In real-world news, I had a wonderful turkey dinner yesterday with my darling. I even baked squash with it! If you ever get the urge, go to SAMS and pick up their stuffed turkey breast. It's soooo delicious! Afterwards, his uncle came over to visit, and we played games, which was fun. I think I'm becoming something of an insomniac, though- I went to sleep somewhere around 11 and woke up before Sky's alarm did. Very vivid dreams. Not bad, but vivid. One of those "I could write a book about that." dream.

In today's news, our well-house seems very popular, as there's a number of trucks parked next to it in the entrance of the field beside it. Also equipped with a large amount of four-wheelers, including my bf's farm's gator. I have no doubt it will come zipping down my driveway soon enough and scare the living shit out of me.

This game Heileen is a lot like the game Nicole I was playing (and had to stop playing because of money lol). It even has the segmented days section, as well as the areas to increase to give you a job option. And this one has the added "sins and virtues" option, which is very fun. I plan on making Heileen a very different girl lol.

Game Recommendation(s)

So, in honor of Halloween, I know I could have played all the classics, and thus scared the shit out of myself. Instead, I opted to go a little original (crispy) and tried something new. I downloaded a game called "Home" on my iPhone, and then spent the next several hours in suspense and horror as I played through it. Several times. You see, you don't just get one ending. Every option gives you a new ending. I'm not sure how it all works, but it's worth it.

Also noteworthy is the game Haunting Melissa, which I tried and downloaded, but proved to be too large for my phone, so I only watched the first episode. True, it's pretty horror movie cliche in there, but you'll never be wanting for suspense. Even though I knew what was going to happen next, I still jumped, I was still scared, and I still looked over my shoulder for several hours afterward.

And in case you're in the mood for some JRPG or similar, there's a new otome game called "Nicole" where you can solve murders and have a bustling love life, too! Hang in there, though- the guys have kind of attitude issues (as they do in most otome games) and its a bit more "optional" than some visual novels are.

Happy Gaming!

Happy All Hallow's Eve/All Saint's Day

Oh my lord, it has been way too long. It's Halloween, so happy All Hallows Eve! Make sure to wear the opposite gendered clothing, paint your face, or make a jack'o'lantern to ward off the restless dead! Better safe than sorry, I always say.

So, as you might have guessed, I'm back home in good old New York after my adventure in Korea. Since then, I've taught online, defeated dragons, fought for true love, and moved into a new home! It's so weird to call another place "home" after living with my mom and dad, but that's what this place has become. Living with my boyfriend has been a long-standing dream of mine. Corny, yes I know, and probably a little pathetic, but I've finally got it!

In other news, I'm also the author of an up and coming new series, The Mixer Harbor Investigation! The first book is called The Case of the Blackwood Hotel. You can find it on Amazon for the kindle (if you don't have a kindle, never fear! You can download the kindle reading app on your computer or mobile device. Amazon is wonderfully inventive that way) for 2.99. If you love horror and mystery, please check it out! Leave some feedback, if you'd like; the only way I can get better is through critique! And don't worry, the first book is very short, as the books are designed to be.

Edit: Now that it's well past November 1st, Happy All Saint's Day, too!

Some pictures from Korea...

Christmas in Korea

Since no-one is stopping me, and they're still observing Christmas here and on foreign radio stations from Europe and America, it is now the 5th (?) Day of Christmas! As you may have guessed, Christmas isn't so big here in Korea. It's mainly a kid's thing, and then after that a couples thing (reinforced by the image of a macking couple I spotted in the entrance of an apartment in Hyehwa), and then possibly after that a foreigners thing. They do set up quite impressive lgihts around the city, which haven't yet been put down.

Today is the very last day of actual classes for me. I'm sure if I sat and thought about it, I could be sad. But for right now, I'm rather happy. When I walked into my 103 class, I was greeted by an exclamation of surprise and happiness by my girls, and then an immediate shout of my name. It's rather sweet that, even after an entire year, they're still rather enamoured of me. Luckily, I'll have quite a few of them for Winter Camp, too, which I've been gathering quite a lot of material for. With any hope, I can use what's left of my Summer Camp stuff.

Lately, I've been trying to lose weight. Even though I'm not at my heaviest that I was at home, in comparison to the Koreans, I feel tremendously fat. And it doesn't help that I'm extremely pictures conscious, and that the Koreans love pictures, and love taking pictures of themselves for social sites. So, perhpas I'll take a leaf from their books, suck it up, and start getting more comfortable.
